Oh my goodness. I had to share. In the next 2.5 weeks, I am in charge of the following parties:
Pre-K Class Party
2nd Grade Class Party
YM/YW Combined Fall Bash
Preschool Class Party
Claire's Birthday Party
and last, but not least
The Couples Halloween Party
Oh my goodness. I could die at the sheer fun of it all! I had to share some highlights of the invites.
Claire is having a Monster of a Costume Party. I'll share more details later. It will be epic. and in case you were concerned...Yes. Her birthday is technically in November. Bygones.
Emilie's take-home treat for her class party. 2nd grade boys will eat crap like this up. (ha...get it. Crap...ghost poop. i'll be here all week!)
And finally. The Piece de Resistance of all this party planning:
The Couples Costume Party Invites. Coffins...
when opened you find a moldy finger (with a black ribbon attached) and all the party deets. The fingers were flesh colored suckers. I painted them gnarly green grey, distressed them, added a bit of shellac, cut off the sticks and threw them in there.
I'm pretty sure the Coffins with the Moldy Fingers are my finest work. I may have peaked too soon.
Now, how to fit in decorating for Spooktacular Spectacular. I need to put that Mostess person in her place. Everyone knows that Scarecrows are so 1994.
(no offense to anyone who has one currently propped on their doorstep)
Do you die at the fingers?
Now, what should Ben and I be for Halloween????? He's declared that this is his last year dressing up. We've gotta go big or go home.
Lauara! Once again you amaze me! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all of them. You are brilliant. So sad that I could not be there for the couples party, would be so fun! Post pictures!!

I love stopping by your blog...never a disappointment. I love all the creations! As for the costumes....that's tough. I think a Zach Morris and Kelly Kapowski rendition could be nice. You, of course, would need to either find or create a Zach Morris phone. I wanted Clint and I to do that this year but we're missing our couples party....I'm excited to see what you come up with:)

First, did you sign yourself up to host each one of your girls' parties? You are a mad-woman! But indeed, you have a gift for cuteness, and I am dying over the monster invites as well as the coffins. (You distressed and shellacked?!?) I can't wait to see your display! I'm glad to know about your multiple parties--it gives you good motivation to have a kick-A display what with all those people coming to your house.
As for costumes, I am currently hobbling together a Wonder Woman costume to go with Tyler's Flash from last year. Don't know if I can recommend it . . . .but it's easier than I thought--blue skirt from goodwill with felt stars, red tank top over a shade, and I'm planning to paint some boots red . . . I need your gift!

I'm totally stealing your ghost poop! We're having a bunch of 5 year old boys over for a Halloween party tomorrow - totally their thing! Seriously, how do you get everything so professional looking? You got some skills. They are all so stinking cute.

Did you make that super SUPER cute Ghost Poop printable?! I have looked everywhere and yours is by far the cutest I have seen. Will you share it? Love your blog and fun ideas. Oh, and I am related to Lisa Powell - found your blog thru her somehow. :)
